The School of Automation successfully held the 14th Youth Teacher Teaching Basic Skills Competition

In order to build a platform for the growth of young teachers, improve their education and teaching level, and recommend teachers to participate in the 14th Youth Teacher Teaching Basic Skills Competition of the school, the 14th Youth Teacher Teaching Basic Skills Competition of the School of Automation, led by the college trade union and jointly organized by the college teaching committee, teacher (teaching) development center, and teaching supervision group, came to a successful conclusion on October 26, 2024. Experts from the school supervision group, including Xu Jiqian, Fan Yumei, and Yao Lin, as well as the college party secretary Li Qing, dean Zhang Chaohui, vice dean Li Xisheng, and Teng Lili, the college supervision group experts Mu Zhichun and Liu Yunluo, and young teaching backbone talents Dong Jie, You Jia, Liu Yan, and Yang Xu, attended the event and served as expert judges.

The competition is divided into two categories: engineering and experimental teaching, and adopts a combination of teaching design evaluation and on-site teaching demonstration. Experts and student judges are invited to score on-site. 34 young teachers majoring in engineering and 3 young teachers majoring in experimental teaching from our college participated in this competition. The engineering competition is divided into two rounds (preliminary and semi-final). The preliminary round will be held on October 19th, and the participating teachers will be divided into two groups to compete simultaneously. The top 5 in each group will enter the semi-final. The engineering semi-finals and experimental teaching competitions will be held on October 26th.

The competition process was exciting and diverse, with contestants carefully preparing to fully showcase their unique teaching skills. Some were organized and eloquent, some were passionate and eloquent, some were layered and insightful, and some were humorous and informative. The participating teachers successfully completed the on-site teaching demonstration segment with vivid and vivid cases, clear and fluent language, calm and composed teaching, and concise and effective interaction.


After the competition, the expert judges summarized and commented on the outstanding performances of the contestants, and highly affirmed them. At the same time, they also put forward valuable opinions and suggestions on the existing problems and shortcomings.
